We had a lovely stay at the Castle Hotel. Very clean and welcoming staff. Parking included and dog friendly. Our room was well equipped and a lovely dinner and breakfast. Only complaint is at night there was a rally function on in the evening downstairs, that went on until 7:30 in the morning. Shouting and banging on tables downstairs all night.
Stopped off for Sunday lunch on our way home. Wonderful carvery lots of choice of veg and all for £9.99!!! Amazing value - definitely recommend
Lovely hotel bar, clean and welcoming. Plenty of car parking nearby. The sandwich was good value and arrived promptly, but had too much horseradish applied for my taste - I would have preferred to have been able to apply my own
The bedroom I had was gorgeous. It was a great big room, very clean and airy and obviously well cared for. The hotel itself was also nice and well run, if a little eccentric. The staff were fantastic. Unfortunately it was let down by the food, which was poor. We even had a pie served upside-down whilst the other two were served the right way up. I'd definitely stay here again, but would just eat out
Me and the husband regularly visit here and really enjoy our time here. Food is amazing and service is great. Really good quality for your money and we will continue visiting for food! We don’t stay in rooms as we are local but come just for the great tasting food.
An old building but well maintained. The furniture in the bedrooms complimented it's age and gave it a genuine feel of the history. Staff were attentive, friendly and courteous. The location, in the town centre was ideal. The good was generous and very good. A big thank you to all staff for everything they do, from the cleaners to the Manager.
I absolutely love it here! I come every month to the open mic night. The atmosphere is always great and the staff are super friendly and professional. A lovely place for a pint, some food and entertainment
Didn't stay we were passing and stopped in for a bite to eat and honestly 2 for £20 exceeded my expectations the food was lovely and staff were very accommodating 10/10
